What is Kinetic Lotus?
Kinetic Lotus is a relaxing physics puzzle game for mobile in which you tap open water to send a ripple across a pond, blooming lilypads into lotuses as it travels. It is free to play, works offline, and has no timers or fail states — you solve each board by planning where a single wave will go, not by reacting quickly.
The whole game runs on one rule. A lilypad struck by a ripple becomes a pink lotus; a pink lotus becomes a golden one; and a golden lotus caught by a wave detonates, throwing four fresh ripples outward from its own tile. Chaining those detonations is the entire skill — and because the simulation is discrete and fully deterministic, you can work the whole chain out in your head before you commit to a single tap.

Three plant stages, one rule each
Every board in Kinetic Lotus is built from the same five rules. None of them are hidden, and none of them change between levels — which is what makes the whole game plannable rather than a matter of feel.

Lilypad
A lilypad struck by a ripple blooms into a pink lotus.
Lilypads are the cheapest tile on the board and the slowest to pay off — two separate strikes before they can contribute anything to a chain.

Pink lotus
A pink lotus struck by a ripple blooms into a golden lotus.
Pink is where the value is. A cluster of pink lotuses is one wave away from becoming a cluster of detonations, which is why board reading is really a hunt for pink.

Golden lotus
A golden lotus reached by a ripple detonates, throwing four fresh ripples outward from its own tile.
Each detonation is a new origin, so a chain does not just travel further — it travels wider. Two linked detonations typically more than double a board's score.
What stops a wave
Stones
A stone absorbs a wave, shifts one tile away from the wave's origin, and stops it there.
That makes a stone both a wall and a tool. Because the direction is set by where you tapped, you can shove a stone into a gap to shorten the distance a later ripple has to cross.
Open water
Ripples have a finite reach, so a wave crossing empty water will expire before it arrives.
This is the most-missed reason a promising chain fails. Count the empty tiles between one gold-capable plant and the next before committing to an opening.
The board edge
A ripple that reaches the edge of the pond simply ends.
Energy travelling toward the edge is energy not spent on plants, so an opening tap near a corner usually wastes a quarter of its own wave.
