Tap any open water tile to drop a catalyst. A ripple expands outward one tile at a time, blooming lilypads into lotuses, lotuses into golden lotuses, and pushing stones ahead of it. A golden lotus caught by a ripple detonates into four fresh ripples — chaining those detonations is how you clear a level in the fewest moves and earn all three stars.

A golden lotus is the third and final stage of a plant: a lilypad blooms into a pink lotus, and a pink lotus struck again blooms into gold. When a ripple reaches a golden lotus it detonates, throwing four new ripples outward from that tile. Positioning your first tap so that its wave reaches one golden lotus, whose blast reaches another, is the core of high-scoring play — a well-placed single tap can clear most of a board.

Stones are heavy obstacles that block a ripple instead of passing it along. A wave arriving from the right direction shoves a stone one tile and stops there, so stones are both a wall and a tool — they can be used to shape where the rest of your wave travels. Reading which side of a stone to strike from is usually the difference between a two-star and a three-star clear.

Kinetic Lotus is easy to start and hard to perfect. Clearing a level is designed to be achievable on the first or second attempt, because the campaign map only asks you to pass. Earning all three stars is the real challenge: it typically requires finding the one tap that starts the longest chain, and later chapters build boards specifically around that hunt.

Three stars come from hitting the level's top score target, which almost always means one long chain rather than several short ones. Look for clusters of pink lotuses that are one strike away from gold, find the tile whose ripple reaches the first of them, and check whether that gold's detonation can reach a second. Stones can be used to redirect the wave into a cluster you could not otherwise reach.

The campaign ships with more than a hundred handcrafted levels arranged as a causeway across the pond, and new chapters arrive in free updates. Alongside it there is a fresh daily puzzle every day and an endless mode that generates boards without repeating, so the level count is not a ceiling on play time.

The daily puzzle is one board that is identical for every player, generated from the date itself rather than downloaded. Everyone gets the same pond on the same day, which makes scores directly comparable — and because it is derived from the date, it works offline like the rest of the game.

Completing the daily puzzle extends your streak by one day, and your streak is stored on your device alongside your campaign progress. You can share a spoiler-free card of your run without revealing the solution, so posting a score never ruins the board for anyone who has not played it yet.

No. There is no countdown on any level, and no way to lose a board by being slow. You can put the game down mid-puzzle, come back a week later and the pond will be exactly where you left it. Lives limit how many attempts you make in a sitting, not how long any single attempt takes.

Lives are the game's pacing mechanism: a failed attempt costs one, and they refill on a timer while you are away. If you would rather not wait, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad for an extra life. Nothing in the campaign is gated behind that choice — waiting always works.
